Tory Party deputy tells complaining migrants to “f… off” back to France

Lee Anderson MP

Conservative Party deputy chairman Lee Anderson has said complaining migrants should “f**k off back to France.

The no-nonsense MP for Ashfield said migrants unhappy with conditions aboard the Bibby Stockholm should leave.

He added: “They’d better not come at all in the first place”.

The Government is in a row with 20 asylum seekers who are refusing to move to the barge off Portland, Dorset.

They claim the accommodation is poor.

However, Mr Anderson told the Daily Express:

“If they don’t like barges then they should f— off back to France.

“I think people have just had enough.

‌“These people come across the Channel in small boats…if they don’t like the conditions they are housed in here then they should go back to France, or better not come at all in the first place.”

‌His robust comments were defended by Alex Chalk, the Justice Secretary.

He said: His [Anderson] indignation was well placed after just 15 migrants boarded the barge on Monday.”

‌Mr Chalk’s remarks came after he told lawyers to “keep their politics to themselves”.

He said: ‌“In the last 10 years there’s been a growing and I think regrettable trend for lawyers to actively parade their politics and identify more with their clients.

“It would be much better for lawyers in the main to keep their politics to themselves.

“It was a mistake for them to be enthusiastic about parading their political opposition”.
